When to Apply?
The following description is useful when there is a lot of content on the website that provides general, up-to-date information to users. Such pages may include service or product presentations, general information about the industry or market situation. In other words, any content that becomes outdated over time and needs to be revisited every few years.
Methodology Steps
- What are the most important keywords?
- What types of content are associated with these keywords?
- What positions do these contents achieve?
- Examine which contents appear in the search results for these keywords:
- Length of content
- Number of images in the content
- Number of outbound links
- Number of inbound links
- Number of text breaks (lists, quotes, anything that breaks up the text)
- Calculate averages for TOP1, TOP3, and TOP10 positions from the search results.
- Record the values from WebyMon, wAudito, PositionMiner, and BestOfUsers for the respective pages.
- Record the most important HTML meta elements:
- URL
- Title
- Description
- H1
- Record visitor data:
- Page views
- Time spent on page
- Mobile/desktop ratio
- Record Google Index data.
- Determine if the content is indexed or not.
- Based on the above measurements, rewrite, update, and refresh the content. Focus solely on creating useful content written by people for people, without SEO tricks or considerations.
- Publish the updated content.
- Check if the sitemap.xml reflects the updated date values.
- Repeat the above measurements after 1 week and 1 month.
- Evaluate the measurements.
